Built on birthdays
One kitchen, one baker, and a promise printed on every seal we tie: handcrafted with love.
One cake, made properly.
Shingie’s Sweet Creations began at a family birthday, with a single cake baked at home because nothing in the shops felt special enough. Somebody photographed it. Somebody else asked for the number. That is the whole origin story — the rest has been word of mouth, one celebration at a time.
Today the kitchen turns out tiered celebration cakes, five signature dessert cups, tartlets, cupcakes, scones and hampers — but the way of working has not changed. Everything is baked to order. Nothing waits on a shelf.
Slow hands, small batches.
Sponges are baked the day before they are needed and rested overnight. Creams are whipped the morning of. Fruit goes on last, minutes before the lid. It is a slower way to run a bakery, and it is the only way we would want to.
- Real butter, real cream, real vanilla — no shortcuts in the pantry
- Every label, ribbon and gold leaf placed by hand
- Recipes tested on the toughest audience there is: family
- Honest advice — if we cannot match a photo, we will say so
If it would not be good enough for my own family’s table, it does not leave my kitchen.
Three promises
Baked to order
Your order is started for you, not portioned from a batch. That is why we ask for notice — and why it tastes the way it does.
Finished by hand
Piping, pearls, gold leaf, ribbons and seals are all placed one at a time. No two creations leave the kitchen identical.
Straight answers
Clear prices, honest timelines and a frank yes or no on what we can do. If something is beyond us, we will tell you before you pay.
The kettle is on.
Whether it is a two-tier wedding cake or a dozen scones for Saturday, it starts with a message.
